Outdoor equipment company to expand

WINCHESTER -- Winchester Equipment Co. will purchase High View Sales Inc.'s farm equipment business in northeastern West Virginia under an agreement announced Friday.

Pending final approval by Kubota Corp., the transaction will be final on Feb. 2.

"We believe this acquisition further establishes our continued commitment to service the needs of the Tri-State area for many types of equipment sales, service, parts and rentals," Doug Rinker, president and chairman of Winchester Equipment, states in a press release. "Our intention is to provide outstanding sales and service to High View Sales' customers and include them as a part of our team."

Winchester Equipment will not operate out of the High View Sales facility, and no staff will be added as a result of the expansion, according to the release.

Frank Seldon, of High View Sales, will continue to operate the business for a short time to enable the sale of existing inventory, it states.
