WINCHESTER — A proposed expansion of the Winchester Medical Center campus will be up for review next month under Virginia’s Medical Care Facilities Certificate of Public Need law.
A public hearing on the $171 million project, which includes the construction of a six-level North Tower to house an expanded emergency department and a 20-bed observation unit, will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at James Wood Middle School.
The Northwestern Virginia Health Systems Agency’s board of directors will review the proposal on April 7 and make a recommendation to the state health commissioner.
Written comments must be submitted by April 6 to: Northwestern Virginia Health Systems Agency, 1924 Arlington Blvd., Suite 211, Charlottesville, VA 22908.
