FRONT ROYAL -- The River 95.3 FM and WFTR-AM 1450 will air a new radio program, "Ritmo Latino," on Saturday and Sunday mornings, beginning today.
The program, hosted and produced by Sergio Polanco, is the valley's first all-Latino language program and will feature music, news and community service announcements. The program is currently aired on a radio station in Chambersburg, Pa.
According to Polanco, "The I-81 corridor has a tremendous Latino and Hispanic audience with literally no broadcast media outlet. Ritmo Latino will provide a link between the Latino community, businesses and the community services sector. It's been a huge hit in Pennsylvania for the past two years."
The program will air live on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6 to 8 a.m. on The River 95.3 FM, then from 8 a.m. to noon both days on WFTR-AM 1450.
Both stations are owned by Royal Broadcasting Inc.
For more information, call Polanco at (717) 552-1981 or Joe Woodall at 635-4121.
