FRONT ROYAL — The Front Royal Farmers Market will hold a grand opening today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Main Street commons area.
John Kovac and Wild Mountain Jam will perform from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The market, co-sponsored by the Virginia Farm Bureau, will run through October every Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Locally grown in-season fruits and vegetables will be available, along with other locally produced items such as fresh eggs, beef, chicken, baked goods, handmade embroidered products, homemade candles, aromatherapy products, honey and jams, cut flowers, plants, woodworking, soups, kettle corn, pumpkins and more.
The market will also feature guest speakers and demonstrations throughout the season.
