Oct. 27, 1 to 2;30 p.m.- The Woodstock Enhancement Committee will be hosting "Halloween on Court Square". There will be Trick-or-Treating at participating businesses (children must be accompanied by an adult). On Court Square there will be Halloween fun for the children - pumpkin painting, face painting, inflatable maze, storytelling, mask making and more. Event is free.
This will be the only opportunity that children 5 -12 years old will have to register to win the honor of lighting the Town Christmas Tree with Mayor Jeremy McCleary at this year's Light up Woodstock Celebration to be held on November 30.
Area businesses will be competing this year for the best Scarecrow/Fall display. The displays will be judged on Saturday morning prior to the festivities. For more information: www.townofwoodstockva.gov.
