American Red Cross blood drives

Nov. 29, noon-6 p.m. - American Red Cross of Winchester-Frederick Co. will hold a blood drive at Lucy L. Custer Building, 561 Fortress Dr., Winchester.

Nov. 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. - American Red Cross of Warren Co. will hold a blood drive at Lowe's , 80 Riverton Ct., Front Royal.

To be eligible to donate, you must be 17 years of age (Note that 16 year olds may donate in some states with parental permission-check with the Red Cross), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and be in reasonably good health. A person can give every 56 days. All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
