American Red Cross blood drives

Dec. 3, 12:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. - American Red Cross of Page Co will hold a blood drive at Mt. Carmel Christian Academy, US 2331, Business 340 S., Luray.

Dec. 3, 3-7 p.m. - American Red Cross of Berkeley Co., will hold a blood drive at Valley View Elementary School, 140 Nadenbousch Ln., Martinsburg, W.Va.

To be eligible to donate, you must be 17 years of age (Note that 16 year olds may donate in some states with parental permission-check with the Red Cross), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and be in reasonably good health. A person can give every 56 days. All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate. www.redcrossblood.org
