American Red Cross blood drives

Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. - American Red Cross of Shenandoah Co. will hold a blood drive at Shenandoah Co. Administration Building, 600 N. Main St., Woodstock.

Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. - American Red Cross of Winchester-Frederick Co. will hold a blood drive at Lucy L. Custer Building, 561 Fortress Dr., Winchester.

Dec. 7, 1-7 p.m. - American Red Cross of Berkeley Co. will hold a blood drive at Hedgesville Vol. Fire Co., 4217 Hedgesville Rd., Hedgesville, W.Va.

To be eligible to donate, you must be 17 years of age (Note that 16 year olds may donate in some states with parental permission-check with the Red Cross), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and be in reasonably good health. A person can give every 56 days. All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate. www.redcrossblood.org
