Dec. 4, 1-2:30 p.m. - Join Washington Post writer Steve Hendrix as he follows the journey of a holiday fir tree from seed to sapling; from rural tree farm to city sales lot; and from purchase to the family living room. We'll consider the tree's place in nature, cultural importance, and the environmental impact of this tradition. Program will be held in the Blandy Experimental Farm Library.
Cost is $8 for members of the Foundation of the State Arboretum, $10 for nonmembers, or $20 for the whole family. This program is part of Blandy's public program series, which brings programs on a variety of topics to the Arboretum. Reservations are recommended.
