Humane Society electronics drop-off

Aug. 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- The Humane Society of Warren County is collecting old computers, cell phones and other electronic equipment to receive funds and keep recyclable electronic components out of the landfill. Bring items to 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal. Drop-offs also will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 29 to Aug. 2 during the shelter's normal operating hours. The shelter is closed on Wednesdays.

Items accepted: laptops, flat screen monitors and computer parts, cell phones, cordless phones, home phones, phone systems, fax machines, printers, scanners, copiers and toner cartridges, game consoles (Play Station, Nintendo, Sega, X-Box, etc.), and video games, any internal or external wiring, cable boxes and servers, DVD, VHS and other media players, radios, CD players, MP3 players car stereos and electronic tools.

They cannot accept large computer monitors an TVs, floor model copiers or satellite dishes.
