Aug. 2 -- The Rotary Club of Clarke County Golf Tournament will support the Free Medical Clinic of the Shenandoah Valley, 301 N. Cameron St., Winchester. Registration will be at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. A late lunch will follow.
Area golfers will be able win prizes and support a worthy cause at the Rotary/Free Medical Clinic golf tournament at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. The tournament, which features prizes, contests and raffles, includes lunch and dinner. In addition to a bag with gifts and coupons for each entrant, there are door prizes and skill contests. Prizes will be given for first and second gross, first and second net, longest drive, closest to pin, a "pink ball" challenge and a Dixon golf ball challenge. Prizes for a hole- in-one include a car or motorcycle, a set of golf clubs, a Kindle Fire HD tablet and a $500 Visa card, all donated by Walter and Walter Insurance Agency. Entry fee is $85 per golfer, $340 for a team of four.
