8-10 p.m. -- Off the Beaten Path: Turner Pond after HoursTrails are for people; nature fills in the spaces between fabricated pathways. Sometimes the best treasures are off-trail, in seldom-seen places. Travel to some of these out-of-the-way spots with the Park Naturalist. Look for seasonal wildflowers, watch for birds and other wildlife, or simply enjoy being in a new part of the park. This month, explore the Turner Pond wetland at night. Bring field guides, binoculars, a flashlight and a nature journal or notebook. We'll talk about the basics of nature journaling and provide you with information on reporting your nature sightings and observations.
