The 54th Clarke County Fair will be held Aug. 10-16 at the Clarke County Fairgrounds, 890 West Main St., Berryville.
Admission
- Preschool children: free
- Children 15 and under: $2 per day
- Adults: $5 per day
- Season ticket (6 days): Adults, $15; Children, $5
Events
Sunday, Aug. 10
- 5 p.m.: Opening ceremony, which includes welcome by local officials and entertainment by the Clarke County High School Band and the Bailey Mountain Cloggers, followed by the Junior Miss Clarke County Fair Contest and the Miss Clarke County Fair Scholarship Pageant.
Monday, Aug. 11
- 4 p.m.: Gates open
- 5 p.m.: Ruritan Club beef, chicken barbecue
- 6 p.m.: Carnival opens
- 6 p.m.: Little Miss Clarke County Fair Contest followed by Pig Scrambles
- 8:30 p.m.: Audio Outlaws
Tuesday, Aug. 12
- 9 a.m.: Sheep shows, followed by Rabbit shows, poultry shows
- 10 a.m.: Gates open
- 5 p.m.: Ruritan Club beef, chicken barbecue
- 5 p.m.: Pet show
- 6 p.m.: All exhibits except floral open to the public
- 6 p.m. Carnival rides open. Ride all night for one price
- 6:30 p.m.: Goat shows
- 7 p.m. Figure 8 Demolition Derby
Wednesday, Aug. 13
All adults 62 and over and children 15 and under admitted free until 5 p.m.
- 10 a.m.: Gates, building exhibits open
- 10 a.m.: Junior beef showmanship
- 1 p.m.: Senior citizens horseshoe pitching contest
- 1 p.m.: Berryville Baptist Rascals
- 1 p.m.: Open beef and junior beef heifer show followed by Junior beef steer show
- 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Reduced rates for carnival rides
- 5 p.m.: Ruritan Club beef, chicken barbecue
- 5 p.m.: Pretty animal contest
- 6 p.m. Carnival rides open
- 6 p.m.: Chicken/rabbit parade
- 6:30 p.m.: Interstate Truck & Tractor Pull
Thursday, Aug. 14
- 9 a.m.: 4-H horse and pony show
- 9:30 a.m.: Sheep and goat olympics
- 10 a.m.: Gates and building exhibits open
- 10 a.m.: Dairy shows
- 4 p.m.: Junior swine show
- 5 p.m.: Ruritan Club beef, chicken barbecue
- 5:30 p.m.: Bunny carrot eating contest
- 6 p.m.: Carnival rides open. Ride all night for one price
- 8 p.m.: Gospel group
Friday, Aug. 15
- 9 a.m.: Clarke County Ruritan hunter horse & pony show
- 9 a.m.: Tractor driving contest
- 10 a.m.: Round Robin showmanship contest
- 10 a.m.: Gates and building exhibits open
- 1 p.m.: Livestock bowl
- 5 p.m.: Ruritan Club beef, chicken barbecue
- 5:30 p.m.: Presentation of special 4-H and FFA awards
- 6 p.m.: Carnival rides open
- 6 p.m.: Lawn mower race
- 6:30 p.m.: Chicken/rabbit parade
- 7 p.m.: Rabbit scramble
- 8 p.m.: Bull riding
Sunday, Aug. 16
- 9 a.m.: Sale of 4-H & F.F.A. Livestock followed by milk auction
- 9 a.m.: Western and gaited horse and pony show
- 10 a.m.: Gates and building exhibits open
- 10 a.m.: Horseshoe pitching - open class
- 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Reduced rates for carnival rides
- 3:30 p.m.: Auto demolition derby
