MIDDLETOWN — In spring of 2013, less than two months after heart surgery, 11-year-old Chase Tasker stepped up to bat for his Warren County Little League baseball team. He chose his pitch, connected with the ball and jogged to first base.

Va. Port Authority reports profit loss

The Virginia Port Authority reported this week it incurred a $560,000 loss in February — due to winter weather — and that resulted in work slow downs and work stoppages.

School Board OKs budget

FRONT ROYAL — At a Thursday night meeting, the Warren County School Board approved its proposed budget for the 2016 fiscal year and scheduled a special meeting at 5 p.m. on March 26, when the board will name a new superintendent.

BENTONVILLE — A fire destroyed a large, single-family house near Bentonville on Monday evening, resulting in between $500,000 to $600,000 in damage.

No one hurt in school bus crash
