Handley Library in Winchester will hold the following activities during the week of October 29-November 3. Some activities may require pre-registration. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

Oct. 29 – 10:30 a.m., Preschool Time for ages 3 and up

Oct. 30 – 10:30 a.m., Baby Time for ages 0-15 months; 10:30 a.m., Community Connections Social hour; 4:30 p.m., Story Flix Club for ages 6-11, read the book and then watch the movie, October book/movie is “Because of Winn-Dixie”

Oct. 31 – 10:30 a.m., Signing Storytime for all ages, interactive program through American Sign Language led by ALS Instructor Shawna Gallagher; 1-3 p.m., Homeschool Hub – homeschooling families are encouraged to use the meeting room where library staff will conduct a homeschool science fair and lead learning sessions throughout the season; 4:30-7:30 p.m., Shenandoah Valley Chess Club for all ages and skill levels with lecture at 5:30 p.m. on chess basics and strategy; 6 p.m., Bull and Bear Club, topic is Big Dividend Stocks

Nov. 1 – 10:30 a.m., Toddler Time for ages 3 and under; 6-8 p.m., Drawesome for ages 12 and up, use a collection of provided materials to produce the creative challenge of the week

Nov 2 – Closed for staff development

Nov. 3 – 10:30 a.m., Family Storytime for all ages; 11 a.m., Lego Club for all ages; 11:30 a.m., Sensory Sensitive Storytime for all ages and geared especially for children in the autism spectrum and those with sensory integration challenges, registration required; 2 p.m., Paws for Reading with therapy dogs; 12 p.m., Family Film featuring “Lady and the Tramp” for all ages; bring a picnic lunch, lemonade and popcorn provided
