Preferred formatsThe preferred method of receiving your publication is in PDF format, with all fonts embedded, high resolution, no compression. See below for further details. Some programs have an export feature which allows the creation of PDFs within the program. Often, this only creates a low resolution PDF suitable for proofing. We do not recommend that you use this feature unless you have the option to change the PDF settings. Compression Fonts Photoshop: If a font must look as built, please rasterize the text layer or send an additional flattened version of the file. Quark: If a font must look as built, please convert that text using TEXT TO BOX. Color palette Resolution Hard copy Where to submit files Please include any information you have on the ad. FTP Site: If the file is too large for your email server to process, we can retrieve ads from your FTP site. If you wish us to download your ad from an FTP site, please supply us with the host, user ID, password and directory information (if necessary). We do not normally post our own FTP site. Mail: Files can can be sent by mail to: We can receive camera-ready ad slicks, or disks through the mail. When sending a disk, please burn the file to a Mac compatible CD or DVD if possible. When supplying art from a disk, please include a printout of the file to verify the contents of the disk. We can retrieve files from other formats if necessary.
