Chelsea Academy raises funds for pregnancy center

Chelsea Academy has announced that on Sept. 28 it joined several other local school groups and churches to participate in the Front Royal Pregnancy Center’s annual Walk for Life. The Walk for Life is a fundraising walk for the center held in the fall and covers about a mile through Main Street and Royal Avenue in Front Royal.

More than one third of the school’s student body participated in the walk. Students not only helped to inflate balloons and bake muffins for the participants but also were chosen to carry the banner and lead the walk through town. Joel Fernandez and Guy Bauer, teachers at the school, were liaisons for the event.

Chelsea Academy is an independent school following the Catholic tradition and encompassing grades 4-12. Located in Front Royal, Chelsea is accredited by VISA and is currently in its sixth year.
