Ten volunteers recently received 30 hours of training to enhance their financial management knowledge and develop abilities to present information to individuals and groups through the Master Financial Education Training Program offered through the Virginia Cooperative Extension in Front Royal.

Training topics included budgeting, credit, banking, insurance and debt management, as well as communications skills, group facilitation, community resources and more. In return for training, volunteers commit to serve 50 hours to the program.

The program welcomes volunteers from all walks of life. Bi-lingual volunteers are especially needed.

Summer training is now underway in Lurary.
