Coffee

Strasburg Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly Harmony Coffee House from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The featured musical artist will be John Holland. There will also be an open-mic session and special music for veterans commemorating Veterans Day.

Bingo

The Fort Valley Fire Department will host bingo starting at 6 p.m. Saturday.

History

The Shenandoah County Historical Society will host a program by Ron Sheetz, a master cabinetmaker and National Park Service conservator, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Heritage Center, 106 S. High St., Edinburg.

Ruritan

The Cedar Creek Valley Ruritan Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gravel Springs Lutheran Church, 870 S. Pifer Road, Star Tannery. Information: 465-4159.

Library

Samuels Library in Front Royal will host the following programs for children:

• Makers Club (school-age): 4:30 p.m., Tuesday. The theme will be about exploring mysteries.

• Toddler story time: 10:15 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday featuring Thanksgiving-themed stories.

• Preschool story time: 11 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday featuring Thanksgiving-themed stories.

Revival

Love and Faithfulness Church will hold an old-fashioned revival at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 321 S. Royal Ave., Front Royal.

Guest speakers and special music will be the Rev. Joe Fowlkes and Love and Faithfulness Choir on Wednesday; Pastor Bobby Jenkins and Bobby Whorton and Friends on Thursday; Curtis Palmer on Friday; Pastor David Frazier and music by James Robertson on Saturday.

Sale

The Woodstock Clothes Closet will hold a half-price sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The store will be closed Nov. 20-25 for Thanksgiving.

Chamber

The Strasburg Chamber of Commerce will host a “new legislative” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chamber office.

Local, state and federal elected officials have been invited as guest speakers. The cost is $10, which includes lunch. Non-members may attend for an additional $10.

Open house/dinner

Triplett Tech in Mount Jackson will host an open house and spaghetti dinner prepared by the Culinary Arts program from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The cost for dinner is $5 per person and will benefit Skills USA.

Books

Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host the Books and Beyond Book Club at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The book to be discussed will be “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption” by Laura Hillenbrand. Information: 540-635-3153.
