The Shenandoah Conservatory Bass Ensemble will present its free fall concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Goodson Chapel Recital Hall in Winchester.

Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown will host a forum on transitioning to college from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The session is geared toward students with IEP and 504 plans. Prospective students will have an opportunity to meet support services staff, discover campus resources and learn how to pay for college. An optional tour will be held at 4:30 p.m.

The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will hold the following programs for children:

Food distribution

The Bread of Life Food Pantry in Woodstock will distribute food from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday and Nov. 21.

Ready Kids will lead a free two-hour training workshop titled “Enhancing Emerging Literacy Skills in Infants and Toddlers” for child-care professionals at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Samuels Public Library in Front Royal.

The state Arboretum at Blandy Farm in Boyce will hold a movie night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday featuring a follow-up of Jen and Grant, who spent a year seeing who could produce less trash.

Barns of Rose Hill will host French musicians Djoukil who will perform Gypsy jazz and swing music at 8 p.m. Thursday at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville.
