The following locations will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day:

• Shenandoah County Extension Office in Woodstock will be closed Friday.

• New Market Area Library will be closed Saturday. Regular hours Friday and Sunday.


The Lords Chapel will host a free-will offering breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 2049 Belgravia Road, Edinburg.

The menu includes bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, pancakes, fruit, donuts, eggs, coffee and juice. Information: 984-9507.


The Shenandoah County Extension office has announced the following 4-H meetings will be held:

• Fort Valley 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Community Center.

• New Market 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Reformation Lutheran Church.

• 4-H Livestock Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren.

Bowman Library in Stephens City will hold the following programs:

• Teen Advisory Board meeting (for middle- and high-school students): 6 p.m., Monday.
