Christ Episcopal Church will host an indoor/outdoor sale from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 132 W. Boscawen St., Winchester.

Items being sold include books, high-end Christmas collectibles, cookbooks, dishware, fine furniture, Civil War collectibles, children’s/adult games and toys, glassware, linens, men’s tools, kitchen utensils and yarn. The Signal Knob Middle School FFA chapter in Strasburg will host its annual Veteran’s Day breakfast and program at 8 a.m. Saturday in the cafeteria. Veterans may call 540-465-6835 to reserve a seat.


Sunshine House in New Market will host a barbecue fundraiser Saturday in front of Rebel Park.

Featured will be music by bluegrass artist and music therapist Chris Rooney from 1 to 3 p.m.

Barbecue dinners are $8 and include a sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, green beans and corn.


The Shenandoah County Extension office has announced the following 4-H meeting will be held:

• St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Saumsville Christian Church.

• Cabin Hill 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Conicville Fire Hall.

The Shenandoah Valley chapter of Phi Delta Kappa will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bridgewater College in the McKinney Science Center. The theme is “Digging Deeper: Project-Based Learning.”
