Willy Pirtle, president of the Shenandoah Education Foundation, was the speaker at the October meeting of the New Market Rotary Club.

Pirtle thanked Rotary members for their continued support of the foundation’s projects, including the Shenandoah County chapter of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Rotary President Jerry Biller noted that the Rotary named the foundation and the library project as a recipient of $500 from the recent Rotary 5K race.

Rotarian Larry Strawderman was honored for spearheading efforts to support the foundation and library project among members and through his church, Reformation Lutheran Church.
