Film Festival

The Basye-Orkney Springs Community Library will hold its first free Foreign Film Festival featuring four films from Italy, France and Spain starting at 3 p.m. every Thursday in January at Bryce Resort Airport. Refreshments provided. Information: 856-8084.

Pancake Breakfast

St. Stephens Lutheran Church will hold a Pancake Breakfast from 7-10 a.m., Saturday. A free will offering will be accepted to benefit the church building fund.

 Club meeting

The Massanutten Antique Tractor and Gasoline Engine Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Edinburg Fire Hall. Information: 540-436-3652.

Committee elections

The Shenandoah County Democratic Committee will hold its 2018 Reorganization Caucus and election of offices at 7  p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express-Woodstock. Registration is from 7-7:30 p.m.  The caucus begins promptly at 7:30 p.m. This is the official biannual election of six district chairs, 12 precinct captains and additional committee members by precincts.

Registration deadline

The Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation will host a bus trip to see “Mamma Mia!” at the Riverside Dinner Theatre in Fredericksburg on Feb. 22. The bus will leave Woodstock at 10 a.m. Cost is $101 and includes the show ticket, lunch and transportation. For ages 18 and over. Registration deadline is Wednesday.
