Newly appointed New Market Town Manager Todd Walters will hold a meet and greet from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Corner Café and from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall.


Lebanon Church Community Center will hold its annual Christmas party 6 p.m. Saturday. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and small unwrapped gifts for games.


The Fort Valley Fire Department will host bingo at 6 p.m. Saturday. Food will be available starting at 5:30 p.m.


The following area pancake breakfasts will be held Saturday:

• Riverton United Methodist Church: 7-11 a.m., 55 E. Strasburg Road, Front Royal. Offering.

• Reliance United Methodist Church: 7-11 a.m. Cost: $5 for adults, $2 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.


The following area Christmas bazaars will be held Saturday:

• Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, Front Royal: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Special piano raffle, handmade crafts, vendors, bake sale, food sold.

• Front Royal Women of the Moose chapter 1194: 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at the lodge hall, 1340 John Marshall Highway, Front Royal. Food sold. Vendor tables are $10. Information: Karen at 540-244-9705.

• Hearthstone School, Sperryville: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 11576 Lee Highway. Fresh wreaths, lunch, baked goods, handmade items, gingerbread house raffle. Vendors welcome. Information: 540-987-9212, www.hearthstoneschool.org.


Subaru of Winchester will host the Share the Love adoption event to benefit the SPCA of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 3019 Valley Ave., Winchester.

For every pet adopted, the dealership will pay the adoption fee. Other activities include a bake sale, food basket sale, photos with Santa, pet tags and SPCA products for sale. Information: 540-662-8616.


A bingo of vintage previously owned Longaberger baskets will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Woodstock Moose Lodge.

Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will hold the following programs Saturday:

• Liberty Man: 11 a.m., Larry Johnson will depict his ancestor Private Abel Johnston, a Revolutionary War soldier from North Carolina.

• Parenting workshop: 11 a.m., presented by the Laurel Center focusing on building self-worth and understanding feelings.

• Chess and More (ages 6 and older): 2 p.m.
