Shenandoah County Tourism Council will meet at noon Tuesday at the Woodstock Café.
Subsequent meetings will be held:
• Feb. 20: Southern Kitchen, New Market.
• March 20: Triplett Tech, Mount Jackson.
• April 17: Bryce Resort, Basye.
Randolph-Macon Academy, in Front Royal, will host a free information session and campus tours on Monday. Students and parents will hear from admission and academic staff and tour the campus while classes are in session. Tours begin promptly at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Appointments required. Reliance United Methodist Church will hold a breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
Tour Blue Ridge Wildlife Center’s state-of-the-art wildlife hospital will hold an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday 106 Island Farm Lane, Boyce.
Bowman Library in Stephens City will host a Winter Sowing Workshop from 1-2 p.m. Monday lled by Extension Master Gardener Robbin Arnold. Supplies provided for the first 15 registrants. Shenandoah County Extension Office in Woodstock will be closed Friday in observance of Lee-Jackson Day.
Shenandoah Knitting Guild will hold its annual Swap Meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Winchester. All knitters welcome. Information: http://shenandoahknittingguild.org.
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative’s The Power of Change application is now available online at thepowerofchange.org or at any REC office. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for funds that have been donated by REC customers. The funds come from donations from REC customers who allow the cooperative to round up on their bills to the next dollar so that they may be reinvested in the community.
The Frederick County Extension office will host a two-day ServSafe Manager’s Course from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Feb. 23 at MidAtlantic Farm Credit in Winchester. Cost is $150 if received by a Feb. 2 deadline and groups of 10 or more pay a reduced rate. Information/registration: 540-665-5699.
