A member of Congressman Bob Goodlatte’s staff will hold open door community office hours from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 7 and Feb. 21 at the Samuels Public Library, 330 E. Criser Road, Front Royal.
Meetings are also scheduled in Broadway from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Town Hall, 116 Broadway Ave., and in Mount Jackson from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in Town Council Chambers at 5901 Main St., Mount Jackson.

Samuels Public Library will host a two-part workshop on Safe Dates from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 10 and 24 for ages 12 and up. Presented by the Laurel Center, the program is designed to raise awareness of what constitutes healthy relationships and how to prevent abuse in dating situations. Registration required. The Northern Shenandoah Master Gardener Association will host a Houseplant Health Clinic from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Bowman Library in Stephens City. Learn how to keep houseplants healthy, particularly through the cold winter months. Gardeners will have learning stations throughout the building where you can repot your plant, learn how to diagnose health problems, and watch healing demonstrations. Information: 540-662-9041.
