The North Warren Fire and Rescue will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday. Cos: $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12 and free for children 3 and younger.

During February, Handley Regional Library is highlighting the tools available through Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC), accessible through the library website. This is for anyone planning to take a standardized test. TERC offers study materials for individuals at any stage of their education. For high school students there are study materials for the SAT, ACT, and AP exams, as well as help finding scholarships and writing resume. Adults looking to go to grad school can prep for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT, and also search for programs and scholarships that meet their interest.
TERC also offers study guides for professional exams including law enforcement, military prep for the ASVAB, accountants, cosmetologists, nurses, and teachers.

Brady Baker was named to the dean’s list for the fifth consecutive semester in fall 2017 at North Carolina State University. Brady is the son of Philip and April Baker, of Edinburg.
The Edinburg Fire Company will hold a fried chicken dinner at 11 a.m. Sunday until sold out in the fire hall. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
The Magic Lantern Theater will host two screenings of the biopic drama “Maudie” (PG-13). The film depicts the life of Nova Scotia folk artist Maud Lewis. Admission is $8 or $5 for Theater, Museum of the Shenandoah Valley or d Barns of Rose Hill members. Doors open 30 minutes before each show time.
