Caring Bunny

Apple Blossom Mall will host a Caring Bunny event from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the JCPenney Court that offers families that have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the bunny photo experience.

During that time, the mall will reduce sensory triggers, such as turning off in-mall music located near the photo set, dimming the lights and shutting down fountains to create a more comforting environment or children to visit with the bunny.

Caring Bunny, the largest program of its kind, is guided by AbilityPath.org, a national online resource hub and special needs community. Over 90 Simon properties will host the Caring Bunny this season.

The annual spring clean-up at Bennetts Chapel Cemetery in Front Royal will begin Sunday. Any items on the ground to be saved must be removed by Sunday.

The Edinburg Fire Company will hold a fried chicken dinner starting at 11 a.m. Sunday at the fire hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
