WINCHESTER — Madden, a 5-year-old pit bull mix, came to the Winchester SPCA back in February, when his owner moved to a place that wouldn’t accept animals.

Now, Madden is looking for another place to call home.

Billie Guidry, an adoption agent at the Winchester SPCA, described Madden as a well-behaved dog who was trained well by his previous owner.

“He’s a perfect dog for a family that has other dogs because he gets along well with other dogs,” she said.

Guidry noted that Madden’s previous owner was reluctant to leave the dog, after picking him up a year earlier at the SPCA.

“They were very not OK with bringing him back, but they were trying to do the right thing,” she said.

Madden doesn’t have any health problems, Guidry said, and he has been neutered and micro-chipped and is up-to-date on his vaccinations. His previous owner trained him.

“He’s so fun – very, very well behaved,” Guidry said. “Excellent watch dog. Excellent with kids.”

Madden’s adoption fee is $95.
