Members of Selah Theatre Project in Front Royal placed third in the Virginia Destination Imagination Tournament held March 24 at Atlee High School outside of Richmond.

Seniors Amber Shayeb and Katherine Sparger and middle-schoolers Prince Do’zia-Earley and Ethan Cahill will compete in the Destination Imagination Global Competition May 22-26 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The group’s team manager is Deirdre Sparger.

The team designed and executed a supply drive for four domestic violence shelters in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Their original goal was to supply each shelter with enough personal care supplies to last one month. Due to the generosity of the community, the team was able to deliver several months’ worth of supplies to each shelter.

The team has started a Go Fund Me account to raise $4,300 to help pay for the trip. Donations can be submitted at www.gofundme.com/goingtoglobals.
