Shower

A card shower is planned for Colleen McCarty, who will celebrate her 86th birthday July 26. Cards can be sent to 100 Massanutten Manor Circle, Apt. 139, Strasburg, Virginia 22657.

 

Party

The Strasburg Moose Family Center will hold a yard party from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 572 Red Bud Road, Strasburg. Activities include raffles, 50/50 and tips, food and music by Five of a Kind. Admission is $5 for nonmembers.

 

Sale

Solomon’s Lutheran Church, west of Forestville, will hold a community yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be furniture, estate items, children’s clothes, toys and more. Information: 540-333-1057.

 

Barbecue

Edinburg VFW Post 2447 will sell barbecued chicken Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. Information, preorders: 540-984-4355.

Breakfast

North Warren Fire & Rescue will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 89 Rockland Road, Front Royal. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12 and free for those 3 and younger.

The Mt. Olive community fellowship dinner will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 108 Sand Ridge Road, Toms Brook. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.

  • July 26: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., at Winchester Medical Center, MOB 1 Conference Center, 1888 Amherst Center, Winchester.
