The annual fireman’s carnival will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Wednesday through July 21 at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal. Featured will be a parade on July 18 and fireworks on July 19. Information: 540-635-2540.



The Fort Valley Library will have animal guests from the Luray Zoo at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.



The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will have a program on designing and making buttons at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Outdoor movie

An outdoor movie featuring the film “Max 2: White House Hero” will be shown at 8:45 p.m. Thursday on the lawn of the old Frederick County Courthouse on the Loudoun Street Mall in Winchester. Information: 540-662-4946.


Gazebo Flix

The movie “Space Jams” will be shown at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gazebo in Front Royal.


Ham radio
