Today is the deadline to register to attend the Warren County Democrat’s annual dinner gala on Sept. 15 at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club in Front Royal.

The Shenandoah Garden Club will meet at 9:45 a.m. today at the Woodstock Methodist Church. David Pugh will present a program on how gardeners can help bees.
Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren will hold a fried chicken/fried bread dinner and silent auction from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the Columbia Furnace Youth Group.
The Pangle family reunion will be held Sunday at the Lebanon Church Community Center. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Paper products, ice and drinks will be provided.
The annual Fill the Wagon Campaign will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Edinburg, Mt. Zion Lutheran in Woodstock and St. Paul’s Lutheran in Strasburg.
The fundraiser collects food items to benefit Luke’s Backpack, a ministry of Shenandoah Valley Lutheran Ministries.
Monetary donations and gift cards will also be accepted. All donated items will be used to fill backpacks for Shenandoah County school children.

The Browntown chapter of the Izaak Walton League will hold a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at 3364 Gooney Manor Loop, Browntown. The guest speaker will be from the Fish & Game office.
