On Aug. 21, Masco Cabinetry in Mount Jackson made a $5,000 donation to the Mount Jackson Rescue & Fire Department. The money for the donation came as a result of Masco Cabinetry winning the  Masco Operating Systems Spotlight contest for continuous improvement projects. The plant was asked to choose a nonprofit organization to be the recipient of the donation.

Joe Amoroso, the Continuous Improvement Manager, said the group looked at several nonprofit organizations in the area and unanimously chose Mount Jackson Rescue & Fire. The program also included history about the department’s green trucks and the original ambulance taken to shows and parades.
