Wesley Chapel United Methodist Women will host a community breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Free-will offering.
Response will host a “Celebration of Hope” candlelight walk at 7:30 p.m. Monday starting at the Strasburg Town Hall in observance of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will show the movie “Coco” at 1:30 p.m. Monday. There will be drinks, snacks and a raffle prize.
The Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host a fundraiser featuring The Nutman Company from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Door 3-ASU entrance.

Tuesday: 4:30 p.m., Story Flix for ages 6-11, read the book and then watch the movie “Because of Winn-Dixie.”
Wednesday: 6 p.m., Bull and Bear Club, topic will be on big dividend stocks.
Thursday: 6-8 p.m., Drawsome for ages 12-up; 6-8 p.m., Graphic Novel Club for ages 12-up.

The Friends of Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host a three-part art history series on gothic art and architecture in France from 1140-1500 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 23 and 30.

The Shenandoah Valley chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International, a fraternity for educators, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 100 of McKinney Hall at Bridgewater College.
Highlights of the meeting include the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award and a talk about service by Bob Failes.
