This Weekend: Dec. 22

The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:

Winter WonderJAM

Bright Box Theater, 15 N. Loudoun St., will present Winter WonderJAM with Treesound, We the People and On The I Friday at 8 p.m. Doors, bar and kitchen open at 7 p.m.

No admission required. This is a free show. Seating may be limited to allow for dancing room. General admission. All ages.

 

Vibes in the Libes

Samuels Public Library will present Vibes in the Libes on Friday at 11 a.m. Catch the holiday spirit with a special holiday music program. Bring a friend and ring in the holidays, singing all your favorite Christmas carols.

 

Holiday Concert: Clark County Brass Quintet

Enjoy traditional Christmas music pieces celebrating the holiday season by the Clarke County Community Band’s Brass Quintet.

Free to MSV members and ages 12 and under; all others: $10 (includes MSV admission). Limited concert seating is first-come, first-served; pre-register online or call 540-662-1473, ext. 240.

 

‘A Christmas Carol’

Theatre Shenandoah will present Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 107 Center St., Edinburg.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. A future performance will be held Dec. 29-30. A special New Years Eve performance and gala will be held Dec. 31. Those tickets are $25 per person.

Holiday House Tours

Sky Meadows State Park will present annual Holiday House Tours Saturday at 11 a.m.

Enjoy special tours of their Historic Area during this festive season. Visit each of the houses in the park’s Historic Area and discover how the people who called Sky Meadows “home” celebrated the holidays in the past. Inquire in the Visitor Center for tours or call 540-592-3556.

 

Christmas Tours at Belle Grove Plantation

Guided tours of the Manor House will be conducted Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (first tour at 10: 15 a.m. and last tour 3:15 p.m.)

On Friday and Saturdays from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. the Manor House will be open for self-guided tours with live music. Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
