This Weekend: Dec. 8

The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:

Selah Theatre

Selah Theatre Project will present “Glory Bea: A Shenandoah Christmas” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at 30 E. 8th St., Front Royal.

Future performances will be held Dec. 15-17. Tickets are $12 and $8 for seniors and students.

Bright Box

The following artists will perform this weekend at Bright Box Theater, 15 N. Loudoun St., Winchester:

• Today: 8 p.m., Celtic-Americana Christmas featuring Emily Martin & Friends with The Fly Birds. Tickets: $10 in advance, $12 at door.

• Saturday: 8 p.m., improv comedy with Porkchop Volcano. Tickets: $8 in advance, $10 at door.

The Nutcracker

Vostrikov’s Academy of Ballet will perform “The Nutcracker” at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at John Handley High School’s Patsy Cline Theater, Winchester.

Performing Arts Luray will sponsor a free Christmas parade after party Saturday featuring Santa, refreshments and entertainment by Left of the Dial, the Eva Weber Group and Patsy’s Pans at the Plaza in downtown Luray.

Barns of Rose Hill

The Woodshedders will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Barns of Rose Hill, 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville.

Homes tour

A holiday homes tour will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Berryville.

Tours begin at The Firehouse Gallery, 23 E. Main St., featuring three private homes, Historic Rosemont Manor and the historic Berryville Baptist Church. The church will have a special Nativity scene.
