The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:
Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane will host a Winter on the Frontier program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Historic Area.
Living historians will portray a detachment of soldiers and civilians passing through the valley on their way to join Washington’s Virginia Regiment at Fort Loudoun in Winchester, as well as demonstrate musket drills, hearth cooking and life on the frontier in the 1750s.

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will celebrate Heritage Day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 901 Amherst St., Winchester.
Featured will be information tables hosted by historical societies and research organizations.
Library of Virginia Reference Archivist William Bynum will lecture on genealogy and research at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the reception hall.

The Top of Virginia Artisan Trail open door tour event will be held Saturday at several sites in Berryville and Winchester.
March is Wine and Dine Month on the Rappahannock County Artisan Trail featuring 27 trail members offering more than 100 activities.

- Today: 9 p.m., The Plate Scrapers and Brokedown Hustlers.

- Sunday: 5:30 p.m., collaboration dinner with Winchester Brew Works and Catoctin Creek Distilling Co.

Barns of Rose Hill
Barns of Rose Hill will offer a bluegrass dinner and concert and exhibit this weekend at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville.
- Today: 7 p.m., Bluegrass & BBQ Series featuring Mile Twelve. Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at door, free for ages 12 and younger.
- Saturday: 4 p.m., Iron, Wood and Stone exhibit opening featuring 13 local artisans. Free admission.
