The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will celebrate Nature Connects Family Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 901 Amherst St., Winchester.
Featured will be 13 larger-than-life Lego brick displays, music, face painting, juggling, stilt walkers and hands-on paper flower making.
Admission is $10, $8 for youth and seniors, $5 for ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger. Proceeds will benefit Bright Futures Frederick-Winchester. Information: 540-662-1473 or www.themsv.org.
The Kernstown Battlefield Association will hold the following activities this weekend:
- Saturday: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Living History Civil War artillery event with members of McClanahan’s Battery demonstrating their 10-pound Parrott Rifle.
- Sunday: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Mothers’ Day tea. The cost is $10 per ticket, with children under 5 free.
Antique car show
Over 500 vehicles will be featured at the Antique Automobile Club of America’s Apple Blossom antique car show Saturday at Jim Barnett Park in Winchester.
The Frederick County Parks and Recreation Department will host a Kite Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sherando Park in Stephens City.
There will be vendors, food and door prizes. Information: 540-665-5678.
The Shenandoah County 4-H Exchange Club will hold a Touch-A-Truck event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the County Park in Maurertown.
There will also be hayrides. Breakfast and lunch available. Proceeds will assist with the club’s trip to Missouri.
The State Arboretum at Blandy Farm in Boyce will host a garden fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.

‘Beauty and the Beast’
Signal Knob Middle School in Strasburg will present Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday.

The Warren County High School Maroon Masques will present “Peter and the Starcatcher,” the untold story of Neverland, at 6:30 p.m. today and Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students.
Winchester Little Theatre
Winchester Little Theatre will present the play “The Explorers Club” at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at 315 W. Boscawen St., Winchester.
Future performances will be held May 17-19 and May 24-26. Tickets: $15.50 to $17.75.

Magic Lantern Theatre will present Katie Couric’s documentary series “America Inside Out” at 7 p.m. today at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley in Stephens City.
The screening will feature two episodes from the series, “Re-Righting History” on the controversy over Confederate monuments and place names and “The Revolt” on current issues of sexual harassment, abuse in the workplace and gender inequality.

Art at the Mill
The Burwell-Morgan Mill will hold its spring art show this weekend at 15 Tannery Lane, Millwood.
Hours are noon to 5 p.m. today and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for ages 12 and under.

Barns of Rose Hill
Barns of Rose Hill will host the following concerts this weekend at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville:

- Saturday: 8 p.m., singer Tristan McIntosh, of “American Idol” fame. Tickets $15.
