The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:

Cruise-in

The Helltown Cruisers will host a cruise-in from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Village Commons in Front Royal.

 

History at Sunset

Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown will host Park Ranger Shannon Moeck for a program on enslavement in the Shenandoah Valley at 7 p.m. today. Those attending are encouraged to bring chairs.

 

Music Festival

The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival will conclude its 55th season this weekend with two concerts Saturday and Sunday at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs.

Saxophonist Kenny G will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Frank Solivan & Dity Kitchen and Circus No. 9 will take the stage for the Bluegrass Minifest at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Evenings on Main

School of Rock will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. today as part of the Evenings on Main Concert Series at Ruffner Plaza in Luray. In case of rain, the concert will be held at Performing Arts Luray. Admission is free.

Show at mall

Hobby, Collectibles & Comic Book Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Apple Blossom Mall. The show will also have a variety of sports cards, McFarlane figures, sports and non-sports cards, wrestling items, vintage, starting line-ups, autographs and more.

Kidzfest

Kidzfest will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Sportsplex in Kernstown. Admission price is $10 per child.

The event is designed for children ages 2-12 and will offer such activities such as bounce houses, ball pits, climbing obstacles, bubble room, coloring room, prizes, games, face painting, concessions, contests such as musical chairs competition and donut-eating competition, as well as magic, clown shows and other entertainers.

Barns of Rose Hill

Join David Van Deventer, Dwayne Brooke and Danny Knicely will perform gypsy jazz, and artist Keith Patterson will exhibit his work from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville.
