Card shower
A card shower is planned for Mildred “Millie” Dysart, who will celebrate her 85th birthday Oct. 9. Cards can be sent to 415 Dysart Road, Woodstock 22664.

Benefit sale
The Front Royal Women’s Resource Center will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Weichert Realtors, 824 John Marshall Highway, Front Royal. Donations may be left from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday. All proceeds will help support grant programs for women and middle-school girls.

SJHS reunion
The Stonewall Jackson High School multi-year reunion will be held Friday through Sunday at the Yellow Barn in Mount Jackson. The event is open to any SJHS graduate.

Events include a welcome party, home football game, Memorial Chorus performance and a Saturday evening dinner/dance. All proceeds will benefit the SJHS Alumni Scholarship. WCHS reunion

Spaghetti dinner
Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church in Edinburg will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the parsonage fund.

Knitting Guild
The Shenandoah Knitting Guild will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church, 75 Merriman’s Lane, Winchester.
