Bethany Luheran
Bethany Lutheran Church will celebrate 145 years of ministry with a homecoming service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 496 Bethany Church Lane northwest of Columbia Furnace off Wolf Gap Road. The guest preacher will be Pastor Karen Shumate VanStee. A covered-dish meal will follow at the Columbia Furnace Community Clubhouse.

Saumsville Christian
Saumsville Christian Church will celebrate homecoming at 11 a.m. Sunday. John Cooper will be the speaker. A covered-dish luncheon will follow the service.

Strasburg Christian
Strasburg Christian Church will celebrate homecoming at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Lunch will follow.

Trinity Lutheran
Trinity Church (ELCA Lutheran) in Stephens City will hold a service of Blessing of the Animals at 4 p.m. Sunday. Pets will need to be contained or on a leash. Refreshments for pets and owners will follow. Information: 540-869-4019.

The Maurertown Brethren Church will celebrate Holy Communion at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Zion Christian
Rhodes B. Ritenour, a native of New Market and Virginia deputy attorney general for civil litigation, will be the speaker at the homecoming service at 11 a.m. Sunday at Zion Christian Church in Maurertown. A covered-dish meal will follow.
