Dr. Charles Hagan, a retired anesthesiologist and environmentalist, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Blue Ridge Kiwanis of Winchester at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Best Western-Lee Jackson in Perkin’s Restaurant.

The Toms Brook United Methodist Church will host a charity auction at 6 p.m. Friday to benefit Relay for Life. A preview and food will be available at 5 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

New Market’s summer baseball teams, the Rebels and Shockers, will hold a bingo fundraiser Saturday at New Market Fire and Rescue.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with play starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be cash prizes, raffles, food and more. Information: Joanne at 477-4177.

Lt. Col. Troy Marshall, site director, will host a tour of the New Market Battlefield from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday.

The tour includes a visit to the Bushong home and a showing of the movies “Field of Lost Shoes” and “Bloody Cedars.”

Participants will receive a complimentary bottle of water and light refreshments along the way.
