The right westbound lane of U.S. Route 211, West Old Cross Road, will be closed Monday through June 19.
The road is being closed so that crews can repair a manhole cover that’s in front of the Burger King at 172 West Old Cross Road, according to a town news release.
Repairs will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and the Public Works Department “asks motorists to use caution when traveling in this area,” the release states
Tim Youmans, Winchester Planning Director and amateur local historian, will give an illustrated program on research he has undertaken to document the origin of all the named streets and alleys in Winchester during the luncheon meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Old Town Winchester at noon Monday at the Godfrey Miller Home on the Old Town Walking Mall.

Members of the Baroque Academy will present a recital titled “Bach to Italy” to open the Noon Chamber Music Series at noon Monday through Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg.
Concerts are free, although a $5 donation is suggested.
