First Woodstock ROCS of the summer today

Woodstock will hold its first Woodstock Riley Outdoor Concert Series (ROCS) performance this evening with live entertainment and food for purchase.

Director of Marketing and Events Katie Mercer said about 300 to 500 attend the free concerts.

Mercer said both adults and children enjoy the entertainment and time outdoors with friends and family.

“The playground is always a hot spot during these events as it allow the young parents to mingle and enjoy the music while their children are entertained,” she added. “Those without children really enjoy sitting back on the lawn in their chairs and enjoying good food and music.”

The Instigators will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food by Frank’s BBQ and VA Smashers will be available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m.
