Shopping, dining and live music Friday

Old Town Winchester hosts the first Friday Night Live event of the summer on Friday with shopping, dining and live music.

Downtown Manager Jennifer Bell said this will be the fifth year of the Friday Night Live series, bringing in about 2,000 people for each event. The Loudoun Street Walking Mall will be filled with music and activities, while the Taylor Pavilion will be the main venue for performances.

“People enjoy the atmosphere of Old Town Winchester. Strolling along the Loudoun Street Mall, browsing in the boutique stores, having a relaxing meal on a restaurant patio and being entertained by a street performer,” she said. “The concerts in the beautiful Taylor Pavilion area are also very popular and many sell out quickly.”

Friday’s featured performer will be Dynamo, a funk/jazz/rock band from Nashville. The opening act will be Threesound.

The Friday Night Live events will be held every third Friday in June, July and August.
