The Claude A. Stokes Jr. Community Swimming Pool in Front Royal will close at 4 p.m. Wednesday for the annual Fireman’s Parade.
As part the Reading By Design summer program, the Strasburg Community Library will host musician and ventriloguist Chris Campbell at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Information: 540-465-8464.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension will begin its “Managing Your Money Series” class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Warren Memorial Hospital. The class, which is for six weeks, was previously scheduled to begin last week.

“The Secret Life of Pets” will be the family oriented movie being shown as part of Gazebo Flix at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gazebo in Front Royal. Those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket.
Bowman Library in Stephen City has announced the following programs will be held:
• Worker Wednesday STEAM program: 5:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday for ages 9-17. Program will feature local stone stackers demonstrating their patience and knowledge of balance. Registration required by calling 540-869-9000.
• Game night: 5:30-8 p.m., Friday for middle- and high-school students. Chaperons present. Snacks provided.
Handley Library will host #ThrowbackThursday for teens from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Thursday this month.

The New Market Area Library will hold its summer reading program at 10 a.m. Thursday featuring the magic of Briance Bence for ages birth to fifth grade.
The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will host a tournament to name the UNO champion at 3 p.m. Thursday.
