Winchester’s First Presbyterian Church will sponsor a community blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Bowman Library in Stephens City will host a meeting of the Lego Club from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays in August for elementary- and middle-school age children. Information: 540-869-9000.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will hold two monthly gatherings of “Garden Gossip” during the growing season for anyone interested in gardening and plants.
The Winchester group will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at CrepeWorx on the Loudoun Street Walking Mall.
Another group will meet at 1 p.m. Aug. 17 at Penelope’s Cafe in Edinburg.

Crescendo Music LLC will host a story-book sing-along supporting childhood literacy from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Warren County Community Center.
Those attending will receive a copy of one of Music Together’s award winning Sing-A-Long Storybooks. Proceeds will be donated to Samuels Public Library.
Samuels Library in Front Royal will hold the following programs:
• The Maker Club (school-aged children): 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays. The theme for Tuesday will be about dragons.
• Sculpt This workshop (ages 12 and older): 2 p.m., Tuesday.
• Toddler story time: 10:15 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday. The theme will be about the circus.
• Preschool story time: 11 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday. The theme will be about the circus.
• A Novel Idea writing workshop (ages 10-15): 2 p.m., Wednesday.
• Dream Bigger than the Stars (ages 8 and older): 2 p.m., Wednesday. Children will create a dream catcher.
