Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren in Edinburg will hold revival services at 6:45 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. The speaker will be Bill Vanderbush.

Childcare provided for ages 5 and younger.


William “Buster” Doman will be the guest speaker at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday at Maurertown Brethren Church. Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m.


Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will hold a blessing of the animals service at 2 p.m. Sunday at 3055 Fairview Road, Woodstock.

The service will be held rain or shine. Donations will be accepted for the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter. Information: 459-4899.


Union Forge United Methodist Church in Edinburg will celebrate homecoming at the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday in the historic church sanctuary. A fellowship meal will follow in the new sanctuary.


Strasburg Christian Church will celebrate homecoming and welcome Pastor Rob Lovett and his wife, Suzie, as the church’s new pastor at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday.

A covered-dish lunch will follow.


Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church in Mount Jackson will celebrate its 134th homecoming at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. A covered-dish meal will follow.


Greater Joy Baptist Church in Front Royal will celebrate Deacon and Deaconess Day at the 3 p.m. service Sunday. The Rev. Frances Bell of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and congregation will be guests. Lunch will follow the morning service.


Bethany Lutheran Church will celebrate homecoming and Holy Communion at the 2:30 p.m. worship service Sunday at 496 Bethany Church Lane, Edinburg.

Mountain Melody will provide special music. A covered-dish meal will follow the service at the Columbia Furnace Community Clubhouse. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.


Unity of the Shenandoah in Stephens City will hold a Taize service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Information: 540-868-1903.


Saumsville Christian Church will celebrate homecoming at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday with guest speaker Pastor Joe Fleming. A covered-dish luncheon will follow. Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m.


Antioch Church of the Brethren west of the Woodstock Walmart will hold a combined worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by a love feast and Holy Communion.
